Easter Sunday

Three Generations of Bushmans

It was nice to have Brent's parents in town for Easter! Trey woke up early and first thing said, "Let's see what the Easter Bunny brought!" He searched the house and thought it was funny the bunny hid his basket in his room. (He always hid it in the front room before). He was thrilled to get a Batman bop bag (since his broke), a Spiderman book, a Spiderman placemat and he loved the magnifying glass! Ken and Linda went to church with us and I tried to get some cute family pictures but it was like pulling teeth to get Trey to take them... little stinker! Oh well!

Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum

Brent's parents came to visit us so we took them to a few "hot spots" here in the Tucson area. We went to the Arizona-Sonora Museum which is a zoo/botanical garden/natural history museum with all things native to Arizona. Trey's favorite part was the cave he could walk through (of course it was Batman's batcave). It was beautiful to see the cacti all in bloom and one of my favorite animals was the bobcat!

Easter Time

Trey was so cute to take pictures for me to make Easter cards for the family! He wore his bunny ears he got from the mall and posed away! Of course he had to put some superhero moves in there as well! It wouldn't be Trey without them! He brings so much happiness to my life and makes me smile everyday!

We have pine trees in Tucson! - Mt. Lemmon

Who would've thought, pine trees in Tucson! We took the drive up Mt. Lemmon which goes up to 8000 ft elevation. We are only 20 minutes from the mountain and it was beautiful to watch the landscape go from Saguaro cacti to pine trees! Trey was so excited because we found snow at the top! They even have a ski resort, tiny, and probably only accessible 2 months of the year, but still... :) I little taste of home!

"We Ate Real Dirt & Worms"

Trey got a kick out of eating "dirt cups" for our snack time when learning about the letter "W". I taught him about worms and what they do for the dirt, etc... I made the famous dirt cup desserts with crushed up oreos, pudding and of course gummy worms. When I brought them up he said, "eww... we're going to eat real dirt?" HE LOVED THEM and couldn't get enough of them!

More craft fun...

We also learned about vultures while studying "V". And that led to all types of birds and how they make their nests and lay eggs. We made this nest for our craft out of frosted mini wheats, pretzels and glued them together with melted marshmellows. And don't forget the robin egg candies for the final touch!

"V" is for Volcano

More Preschool Fun! We made a volcano for preschool while studying the letter "V". This was one of Trey's favorite projects we've made! He had to explode it over and over again!
Making the Volcano with clay...
Trey loved getting dirty while shaping the volcano!

Is it dry yet???

"Yep, it's ready mom!"
"Let's paint!"

"EXPLOSION TIME!!"

"Let's do it again!"
