Blake's Birthday

My "Thinking" Face
The Birthday Boy!

Blake, Trey's cousin, turned 4 and had a "Carnival" themed birthday party with an obstacle course, bean bag toss, pinata & other games! Trey had a blast with the 24 kids that came! Thanks Jill for putting on such a fun birthday party! Trey's favorite part was at the very end when all the kids left so Blake & Trey could tie up a rope around the slide and play Spiderman toegether!

First Day of Preschool

I think I was more excited than Trey for his first day of Preschool, getting new school clothes & a backpack! I signed him up at the Legacy Center (a recreation center) which was to both of our advantages! Trey has preschool MWF from 1-3 and I get to work out in the same building during that time! He was very excited about his new backpack and was so great to take pictures but when it came down to being "dropped off" he wouldn't have it! I ended up sitting with him for the first half hour and finally decided to just let him cry it out. It broke my heart as I left the room... but when it came time to pick him up he was all smiles and said, "I want to come back tomorrow!" A rough start... but he loved it! The teachers were great to sit with him and get him adjusted! I can't believe he is growing up so fast!

Singing in the Rain

Trey and I love to run around in the rain and feel the cold drops on our faces! We especially liked having our umbrellas out to play with (not so much to keep us dry)! :) Sometimes when you are an adult you need to pause and enjoy these special moments... like singing in the rain!

Education Week

It is the "Harris" family tradition to go to BYU's Education Week every year and Mandy was kind enough to invite me along when we were in high school! We would go to all the youth classes, skip those that we found boring or if their were cute boys around hang with them instead... (MANDY, I will use the term "hang" loosely) :) and then attend the youth dance at the end of the week! Don't forget the "score" comments and the pink animal cookies that were a must during the week! But we also found ourselves spirtually uplifted by the end! Just like the old days I attended a day with Mandy and her mom! And just like the old days we did skip a couple classes (to go shopping, by the way, my shirt and vest are SO cute!) and by the end, yes spiritually uplifted. Even if we went to a crazy class about our dendrites!

Thanks Mandy for my fun day!

Breaking Dawn Release

Okay... I know what you are all thinking. I really did go at midnight to pick up the Breaking Dawn book. My sister-in-law, Jill (far left in 1st photo) and friend Monica (far right in 1st photo) decided to go to Barnes n Noble for the book... BIG MISTAKE! CRAZY people were there, dressed up... 40 year old moms with I HEART EDWARD on their arms... it was ridiculous and embarrassing! Plus the line was full of probably 300 people! So we decided to hit the Walmart in American Fork and I ran into Errin Heward, my old roommate from college! (to the left of me) It was so fun to see her and catch up! Later, Jill, Monica and I went back to Jill's house for a "slumber party" to begin the new book... however I decided to start over and read the 3 books of the series again before reading the 4th. So nobody say anything yet because I haven't read it yet! We were complete dorks and decided we better take some pics to document the night (yes we even wrote Edward and Jacob's names on our arms)... and stayed up to 4:30 in the morning... but it was a blast! Plus, we had desserts galore to munch on!

4th & 24th of July

I'm so horrible at updating my blog! So... here is our celebrations in a nutshell for Independance Day and Pioneer Day! On the 4th we had just gotten back from Lake Powell and decided to get some sparklers out for Trey, which he loved! On the 24th we went to Liberty Park to watch fireworks! Trey had a blast on the bouncy slides, rolling down the hill, playing in the sand... but most of all, getting his Batman Tatoo!

Celebrity Spotting off coast of Lake Powell

"Celebrity Brent Bushman and son, Trey spotted in Lake Powell" :) I thought this picture looked like one of those on the People magazine... okay I think I'm funnier than I really am! For the 4th of July we went with Brent's family to Lake Powell! Parts of the trip were so fun... the other part, Trey got a fever of 104 on the second day. Poor thing! He did enjoy seeing the "alien ruins" a.k.a. "Indian ruins" and loved fishing with his cousins, but we ended up going home early to find out he had strep throat. We were so bummed he couldn't enjoy it more! We did however find a really cool cave that you could swim into and stand up in! People had put rose petals in there (I wonder why??) :) and written there names all over the walls.
